First are some work stands to elevate the bike project to a more comfortable working height and to easily assemble / remove the front and rear wheels.

Second, the steering column latch. Just like in the movie, the entire front end of the bike will raise up. Ultimately the very low seating position has the disadvantage of making egress difficult, so unlike all the other Akira Bike like builds, mine will indeed have the powered egress.

There are 3 mechanisms associated with this, various locks and latches, here is a main one that connects the steering column together with the handlebars.
